Oh, hey there.

It’s been awhile… I’ve purposefully taken a step back for these past couple of weeks to take a much needed breath.

Apart from the anxiety of getting through one of the most divisive elections this country has ever seen, and the stress of heading into the holiday season with the pandemic ever present, our family has gone through a huge transition: we’ve moved!

These days, our life has been sifting through mountains of boxes, eating reheated frozen meals off of paper plates, keeping the kids away from sharp objects, frantically wiping up literal floods left by old rusty leaky pipes, deciding between 6 million shades of white, googling “how to remove wallpaper without wanting to burn the entire house down,” and in general trying to find a new routine amidst a home we’ve yet to make our own.

I have to admit, the hardest part for me has been wanting to rush through the messy, ugly, tedious, and unfinished parts … to arrive on the other side and finally be able to exhale.

But, we are getting there, slowly.
I know it’ll be worth the wait, because all good things take time.
