It never ceases to amaze me to think about how thoughtfully and purposefully we are created …

In their first year, a baby gains an average of about 8 ounces each month and grows an average of about 1/2 inch each month.

I tell myself all the time that I will never forget the way my children look at a certain age. I try to remember all the little dimples or unique creases in their skin or carefree wisps of hair that refuse to be tamed. I try to remember how they fit perfectly snug against my chest.

But inevitably, from time to time, I will scroll back through my phone to 6 months prior and realize that their faces have completely changed, or they can now reach shelves that were previously out of reach.

Your baby goes to bed every night and wakes up in a new and improved body. One day they will have no idea what’s going on, and the next, they are cognizant of the patterns in their world, or forming self – agency by recognizing personal needs and desires.

What an amazing privilege it is to bear witness to all of this, don’t you think?
