Pregnancy after loss can outwardly look beautiful and exciting, but inwardly feel like conflicted grief, uncertainty, fear, anxiety, confusion, guilt, holding your breath, fear of celebrating, fear of hope, constant worry, illegitimacy, and self hatred of one’s own body.
Today, I’m honored to share the Vo family’s beautiful story. Both medical physicians in our community here in Southern California, Alex and Christina are two of the most selfless, kind, compassionate, and hardworking people I have ever met. Their strength and humility amidst difficult circumstances along their journey to starting their own family, both with full time jobs while serving the least privileged and forgotten is not only inspirational, but beautiful and worthy of recognition.
