I really needed some good news this week. Working two jobs from home, taking care of my babies, staying up late nights, waking up early, being on top of the social media game, general household duties, the odyssey of millions of cycles of laundry, packing because we’re in the middle of a move, sustaining my marriage, “self care,” avoiding everything and everyone because of an unending pandemic, the bleak political landscape of our country, shall I go on?
God has heard my prayers, because this week I received an email in my inbox that I’ve been featured over at SHOUTOUT LA under their Unique Perspectives Category.
Shoutout LA is an online publication dedicated to “help[ing] change the way people spend money. We want people to spend more of their money with mom-and-pops, small businesses, independent artists and creatives. We think one of the most powerful ways to do that is by putting small business owners and creatives at the center of discussions designed to spark conversation within the community.
We think meaningful conversations are at the heart of community building. We also think every voice matters and that these conversations shouldn’t be led by billionaires, media elites, or celebrities. We feel it’s far more relevant to hear from the folks who make up the fabric of our communities – small business owners, mom-and-pops, and independent artists and creatives.

It’s truly an honor to be featured amongst so many other talented artists and creatives among the Southern Californian Community! I align completely with Shoutout LA’s mission for more meaningful conversations, community building, and relationships. This is at the heart of what’s important.
A very special thank you to Lezlie Mitchell (@lovelezlie), my amazing Compassion Session Client who so graciously nominated me for an Interview! I continue to be amazed and grateful that amongst all the bad news, there is always still at least some good news!
