It was one year ago today that I took the leap and officially launched Tiffany Chi Photography.
I remember trying to decide on a name for this business. Originally, I was actually thinking “Evaline Reign Photography” (these are Aimee and Ellias’ middle names) because I thought it was a meaningful nod to why I am so drawn to photographing mothers, being a mother myself, and inspired by my own children.
In all honesty, though, I wasn’t comfortable with the name Tiffany Chi Photography because I was petrified to put MY name on something that I held so close to my heart. I was afraid of failure, and what it would mean if my name was attached to that failure.
It has been a wild, but beautiful first year. I have learned so much and am humbled everyday at so much more I know I have to learn. Growth is not easy. It’s challenging, and uncomfortable, and sometimes painful.
Yet, I know there’s purpose here. I know these are more than just photographs that I’m taking. These are your God-given stories. These are your most vulnerable, intimate, long awaited moments — ones you’ll never get back.
So, thank you. Thank you for following along, for reading my thoughts, encouraging me through this dream of mine. Thank you to all the families that have been in front of my lens, who have trusted and believed in me. I’m so grateful to every one of you.
